The Mysterious Death of Alonzo Brooks
by Susan Gonzalez and Paul Fecteau
Sept. 5, 2010

On a remote back road in Linn County, a desolate farm house and the woods and creek that surround it hold a secret about the death of a young man. On an April night in 2004, this remote setting may have witnessed the foulest of deeds. A group of young people probably know what happened but to this day remain as silent as the trees that flank that forlorn creek.

Those young people came together at that rural home a couple miles outside of La Cygne in east central Kansas on the night of April 3 for a party. Quite a few of the guests came from out of town, including two carloads that made the trek down from the Kansas City suburb of Gardner. One of the young men in one of those cars was a 23-year-old African-American named Alonzo Brooks. He was one of only a few blacks at the party.

Brooks had graduated from Topeka High and moved to Gardner to work for his stepfather’s janitorial company. He had a reputation for being mild-mannered and good humored. He often babysat his nieces and nephews. He occasionally spoke of one day owning a farm.

On the night of the party, he dressed in a short-sleeved dress shirt, jeans, boots and a hat. His ride pulled up around eight. A white kid named Edward Smith, who accompanied Brooks that night, had long been a close and trusted friend.

At the party, Smith and Brooks remained together most of the time. Smith recalls nothing out of the ordinary. He and Alonzo talked, drank, danced a little, and got high.

Some time between midnight and one, Smith decided he wanted to go home. He called Brooks over and the two huddled beneath a tree, talking about what to do. Brooks decided he wanted to stay and could get a ride back with the other car that had come down from Gardner. Smith told him to have fun then drove home.

The next morning, Smith phoned Brooks and was shocked to hear his mother say that her son had not returned. Staying out all night was out of character for Alonzo. Worried, Smith immediately drove back to La Cygne. He walked into the farm house and quizzed the party’s hosts. They had not seen Alonzo, they said. When Smith returned to Gardner, he continued to try to contact kids who had been at the party. The owner of the other car that had gone to the party from Gardner confirmed that he had promised Alonzo a ride home--a promise he was unable to fulfill because he had left the party to get cigarettes and gotten into an accident.

Alonzo’s family notified the Linn County Sheriff’s Department, and in the days that followed their investigation did little to settle anyone’s fears. Party-goers provided sketchy information regarding a fight that may have taken place around 3 or 4 a.m. Some said racial slurs were hurled. Deputies visited the party house and nearby found Alonzo’s hat and boots. In the ensuing weeks, the F.B.I. joined the investigation because of the implications that Alonzo had been targeted because he was black. Kansas City Star reporter John Dvorak went to La Cygne and found the townspeople reluctant to believe that any of that hatred could be homegrown. They pointed to a rumor circulating that the authorities had a suspect who came from Nebraska.

Smith learned little else from the kids who had stayed at the party that night and turned his attention to helping the family in its efforts to keep Alonzo’s disappearance in the public eye. Kansas City mayor pro-tem Alvin Brooks, no relation to Alonzo, and his anti-crime group Move Up got involved. Family members circulated T-shirts and posters that bore Alonzo’s picture and the phrase “Lost but NOT Forgotten.”

The authorities conducted six searches of the land surrounding the party house. Low-flying helicopters buzzed the tree tops. Sherriff’s deputies marched through the brush shoulder to shoulder. Cadaver-sniffing dogs were brought in. Divers from Lee’s Summit Underwater Rescue and Recovery explored the muddy bottom nearby of Middle Creek. These efforts produced nothing. No more searches were planned.

On May 1, with Alonzo gone nearly a month, more than fifty family members and friends, many from Topeka, arrived to conduct their own search. They outfitted themselves in orange vests, passed out walkie-talkies, and prepared for a long day. It took less than an hour, however, before they discovered Alonzo’s body.

A group approached Middle Creek and saw the body lying on a tangle of brush.

The remains were transported to Shawnee County where seasoned pathologist Dr. Erik Mitchell performed the autopsy. He found nothing indicating that Brooks had suffered any fatal wounds. His report listed the cause of death as undefined. Not all aspects of his findings have been made public.

Linn County Sheriff Marvin Sites initially declared that Brooks had been murdered, but a few days later retracted that statement and stipulated that his office was conducting a death investigation. The location where the body was found had been previously searched numerous times, Sites acknowledged. His account of how the body wound up where it did was a little cryptic: “Nature had to take its course,” he said.

The subsequent investigation seemed to stall quickly. The F.B.I. ceased its involvement due to lack of evidence that a hate crime had been committed. The case slipped from the headlines. Edward Smith was left to muse over what might have happened to his best friend, and Alonzo’s family had to go on with a hole in their lives where their loved one had been.

Now, over six years later, their loss remains as painful as ever, but Alonzo’s friends and family have not given up hope. Neither has current Linn County Sheriff Barry Walker. The investigation remains active and buoyed by the chance that someone who was at the party that terrible night will put aside whatever fear or misplaced loyalty might be preventing him or her from coming forward.

If you have any information that could help, please call the FBI at 816-512-8200 or 816-474-TIPS or submit a tip online at
tips.fbi.gov.

The Brooks family will be providing updated information at www.alonzobrooks.com and via the Facebook group Justice for Alonzo Brooks.

The answers from the friends who went to the party,Stites, Filla and the forensic analyst interviewed on UM seem candid. I'm sure with the silence we could say others not interviewed have been candid as well. For 16 years someone has held in those answers. It's time to exhale those answers. It's time to break off the chains of sleepless nights from what you know about or witnessed April 4th. The chains that grip tightly every anniversary of that day because what you seen or know, break them off. Alonzo's family has grieved everyday for 16 years longing for what happened and why because someone chooses to remain chained to the answers. Alonzo's body has been exhumed. His placement of rest is not restful at this moment. It's time to help allow yourself to rest from running and say what needs to be said. It's time for Alonzo's family to be able to rest from this fight for answers. It's time now for his body to finally rest as well. It's time what has been dark to come into the light and allow freedom and rest by speaking out what took place April 4th 2014. It's time.

*correction* Should say the answers to the interview questions on UM seem as though they are NOT candid. Sorry about the confusion. Can't edit so I'm adding it to the comments.

Maybe it was someone from out of town at the party? I cannot believe it has taken so long to solve this. Ridiculous.

I Have heard rumors around linn co. That the father of Logan smith, that everyone speaks of on here and other blogs! The district judge 2004 .....Tried to kill himself with pills and was taken to another state for rehabilitation!!! After FBI began to dig around in his affairs, and 3 people in custody????????????anyone confirm ??????

Any news on who they arrested I haven’t heard anything about it?

@2:08 are your trying to tell me you think Judge Smith was related to Mayor Smith???? Check your facts again, your conspiracy isn't matching up. Obviously you guys don't know Mr.Smith, not only was he the mayor at the time but he is one of the kindest men around. He was a great teacher and coach so you should probably get your facts straight on him. Because his name does not needed to be dropped just because of pure coincidence of the last name.

I'm surprised the ME didn't have anything written about his injured ankle on the documents shown on UM. I did see a circle on his knee and maybe the word "bugs"??? Some markings on his arms and plam of his hand. Nothing on his ankles though. One of 3 perspectives.1.The ME either didn't have the advancements in technology for the autopsy that we do now and overlooked something internal that can't be seen by the naked eye,or x-ray. Maybe being why he said: "If he has been beaten it has not left anything identifiable." 2.He stated "Could he be strangled? Certainly. The soft tissues of the neck are gone. They've been damaged by animals and insects. So,there's nothing there that allows me to make the determination that he was or was not strangled." Maybe implying
that the damage by bugs as seen on his shirt destroyed evidence of exactly how and what happened to his neck. After all he did answer with "Certainly." Not writing it off but unsure what exactly how and what happened. He could have explored more but then again lack of the advancements we have today maybe deterred that from happening. There are several statements/rumors on these blogs about what could have happened to his neck area. I do think the statement by the ME "damage by animals" (included with bugs) was oddly speculated to just Alonzo's neck area. 3. He could know the answers to major details but worded the documents and answered UM's questions with just the minor details leaving the conclusion as unknown. Alonzo's body being exhumed recently will inhance further investigation. These are just a few perspectives after hearing the ME's statements. To save time I'm NOT going to go into his statements on the creek/drowning.

I live in Panama (Central America) and I watched Alonzo's episode on Netflix's UM a few weeks ago. I haven't stopped thinking about him and his family ever since.

I feel upset, sad and disgusted, then I can only think about his mom, siblings and family, all these years they've been neglected of justice.

To Mrs. Ramirez, my heart is with you, may God always be with you and your family and I hope the people responsible for this crime will be brought to justice, even after all these years.

I feel for this family Alonzos story hit me to the heart. My son went missing while Partying with ( friends) April 4th 2008 he was found April 11th floating in canal blks from home. No body knows anything 1 (friend) lied changed his story 5 times my son 17yrs old Kenneth Wade Felchle Jr. Would have called me also just like Alonzo his mother knows her son. Police shrugged off as a runaway also we live in a poorer side of town. Case closed as accidental drowning although coroner report says 2 1/2 inch purple glistening bruise top mid occtipul head. And bruising at wrist n shins. Someone asked me if my son was tied up this is before I got autopsy. She has never been questioned and was dating the boy that lied 5 times as to where he last seen my son. It is horrible to not know and lose hope in people and wonder if person next to you killed your child I send healing strength love and claim Justice served for Alonzo and his family. God Bless.

So you're telling me a girl accused Alonzo of raping her at a party that was hostile towards him from the moment he came in? I find that hard to believe. They would have been watching him like a hawk. He certainly wouldn't be welcome to disappear upstairs to a bedroom, no less with a white woman, so where exactly would this rape take place in private? I think this is an attempt to smear his character and give them a valid excuse for murdering this poor guy. The minute he felt those bad vibes he should have gotten out of there. What a shame

Anonymous said...

That ME was a piece of trash and definitely involved in the cover up. They find him with no evidence of water on any of his belongings, yet he says he possibly drowned. Then he claims the only area where tissue was missing in the neck was eaten by animals and bugs! Why would animals be eating neck tissue and skin?? Is the neck meat tastier than other meat on the body?? Clearly he was strangled or in my opinion hung by a rope and whoever did it messed around with the neck so you couldn't see ligurature marks. What a useless and again in my opinion corrupt individual and town. Disgusting human beings

Thank you! I was confused because Justin said he was the one who drove Alonzo AND left to get cigarettes. This person “Edward Smith” said he did one and someone else did the other.

You just made up that email to get info for yourself. Real convincing lol.

Nevermind my comment about Logan and Reyo. He doesn’t seem to be a bad person. I found the other Logan Smith who is an Anesthesiologist. He is the one who everyone is talking about whose dad is or was a judge.

Yes, it's Logan the Anesthesiologist.

I have tried looking online for his arrest also, but can't find anything. What I heard was the FBI arrested. They might be wanting to keep the arrest somewhat private for now.

Anonymous said...

Any new information on this case? Arrest, anything?

Anonymous said...

I would seriously look at the Nebraska kid too. I have a feeling this is not his first time being involved with something racially motivated. Was his name Donnie Abel? Check the towns he lived in? Was that the guy Zo got in to it with the first time at the party?

Anonymous said...

Growing up heading to Denver, I remember my father being told to fuel up and to never get gas in small towns. That was in the 70's heading west. POC was never safe in small towns. With that in mind, who was the back fella that was beaten and bleached was poured on him. Any Kansan remember this? I wanna say it was west or south of Topeka. Old murders really need to be looked at because there was no hate crime law. As for Alonzo's case, I could have sworn in A scanner page excerpt that a comment was made that he was beaten like in a shed or barn. Several people took turn. That autopsy was a fluke. The medical examiner is known to be unethical so he was likely in cahoots with the sheriff and judge. This was a major cover-up to protect the son and his friends.

it may sound silly to me but if someone went to the place where the body was found and tried to communicate with the deceased person through a spirit person or with some device that can communicate with Alonzo, a K2-type device or a spirit box may seem like a lie but there are many reports of people who will already communicate with the dead

I watched the docu on Netflix when it first came out. Did some research and found this site. I came back on here today and I'm glad the FBI is getting somewhere, or at least they appear to be. Does anyone know if Logan Smith still in custody? Or if he was even really arrested?

Unknown said...

I've just watched the documentary on alonzo and given my theory is this , I feel as though these two friends he went with should feel a sense of guilt ,nomatter what you go together you leave together there is no in between , and a fight broke out where racial slurs were being past already was a sign they should have taken their friend with them and left , with that being said they are as guilty as the people who killed alonzo, the simple fact that they cannot give a cause of death was that simple , Alonzo was forcefully taken and put in a freezer to die and waited for search goers to stop looking and when they heard the family was conducting their own search they took the body and dumped him , people saw him getting into an altercation and obviously fear these men that caused this harm to Alonzo and I strongly believe that being afraid noone wants to speak out , I watch alot of crime documentaries and I'm very much attentive to small details and body language , and smith to me is crying out of guilt because he knew he messed up leaving Alonzo at that party , but for him to have left him there to start off knowing zo knew nobody at that party sounds suspect , trust me someone will speak up sooner than later , someone will open up ,I believe someone has already spoken about what happened but this lacygne area is racist and very secretive they protect their own kind

Anonymous said...

Last word I received was that Logan Smith and Donnie Abell both refused speaking to the police, and further, they have refused lie detector tests. These are the two prime suspects, and neither will cooperate.

Anonymous said...

That even makes them look more guilty! I really hope they have the evidence to convict these monsters.

Anonymous said...

Did they both recently refuse as well or just back in 2004?

Odd, the FBI exhumed his body in July 2020 and NOTHING has been reported to the media. Everything else is just Bullshit, hearsay rumors!

Im the same age as alonzo was when he was murdered and to think that if this happened to my friends or anyone i knew, i could never live on a day without doing something , this really struck a fucking chord in my heart, its just fucking bewildering that after all these years the family still has no closure and his murders are still out there living life and getting by thinking theyre on the highway. Karmas a fucking bitch and i hope each time they close their eyes to sleep his image haunts them. Their hearts could never rest in peace n they would die a fucking slow and painful death. Anyone who says his death was anything other than a MURDER is delusional! Outright disturbing and disgusting. I really hope this case gets the attention it deserves and they finally give the family the answers they need, may his soul finds peace, so heartbreaking

During this investigation, new information has come to light surrounding the evening of Brooks’ death. Based upon interviews of individuals who had not previously spoken with investigators, the FBI has learned there was another party, the same evening, a relatively short distance away from the party Brooks attended. Through interviews, investigators have learned that a confrontation occurred at the nearby party, and many of the attendees left that gathering and joined the party at the farmhouse where Brooks was present.

The FBI is seeking to identify and speak with any individuals who attended either party. If you or someone you know were in attendance, please contact the FBI at 816-512-8200, 816-474-TIPS, or tips.fbi.gov. Any information you may have regarding this evening or these parties is valuable and could be crucial to this investigation. Even the smallest bit of information that may seem insignificant standing alone could be vital to the investigators.

The FBI is investigating Brooks’ death as a potential racially-motivated crime. Brooks, who was 23 years old at the time he died, was one of only three African-Americans at the party he attended with approximately 100 people at a farmhouse on the outskirts of La Cygne. Brooks, who lived in Gardner, Kan., rode to the party with friends, but they left before him, and Brooks eventually had no ride home. His body was later discovered in Middle Creek, adjacent to the farmhouse, on May 1, 2004.

The $100,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest, prosecution, and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for Brooks’ death. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the FBI at 816-512-8200 or 816-474-TIPS or to submit a tip online at the tips section of the FBI website.

To the Brooks and Ramirez Families - I am so sorry for your loss. Alonzo seemed like an excellent human being who was raised right by his entire family. My heart is absolutely with you. I pray you see justice soon. The entire case infuriates me on so many levels. Alonzo deserved better, and you do, too!!

I teach a Forensics class and am featuring the Unsolved Mysteries episode and Alonzo's case as an assignment for my students. As part of our discussion on all the protests and debates that finally opened up this summer related to misconduct of law enforcement, my students and I will be discussing how Alonzo's case was purposefully obstructed. Along with discussions on our responsibilities to each other as fellow human beings and personal safety, I hope we can help to prevent any more beautiful, intelligent young people like Alonzo from being victimized.

As long as I am able, I will feature Alonzo's case in my classes and keep his memory alive, even if it is just in the minds of strangers so far away from his family and loved ones.

Posted by a Reddit who knew Justin in the military:

I was in a reserve unit with Justin Sprague. He is a compulsive liar till the very end. His brother was in the same unit as well in Belton Missouri. Never was a huge fan and I about shit my pants when he was on the show. Every word he spoke is an absolute lie. Idk if he killed Alonzo or anything but leaving him behind like that was a showing of his character. He never gave a shit about other soldiers and was always about either fighting people or trying to get laid. He has aged quite a bit in the 7 years I've gotten out but I can assure you he is still the same lying and manipulative asshole he always was. But I will say one thing about Justin and it's the fact that he would never run from a fight if confronted. Dude can throw hands for sure. I think he just left the party because he was fucking a girl or wanted to go to the strip club. He would leave anyone behind for a chance to get laid. Or to score pain pills he loves those.

I've done a considerable amount of research into Alonzo's case since first coming across it about a year ago. I know it can be spurious to name-drop and theorise, but I want to help his family in any way available to me, so here goes:

a name that appears across several sits, forums, and blog postings about this crime is Donnie Abel/Abell. By now I'm certain anyone posting to this site is familiar with said individuals supposed relevance to Alonzo's disappearance.

What struck me as curious is that, after finding DA's online college athletic profile, I noticed his birthday is listed as April 1st, and that he attended high school in Spring Hill. Same HS as the renters of the house the night in question.

Has anyone ever considered the idea that the party on the night of April 3rd that Alonzo attended may have been a birthday bash for DA? Or perhaps that this newly discovered second party was, and that's how the two get-togethers ended up merging?

It may be nothing, but why, after 17 years, should any possibility not be exhausted? His family's patience has been nothing short of Saintly.

Great news they have now admitted that Alonzo was indeed murdered. Sucks that his family and friends had to suffer all these years cause of incompetent police and officials. To those who did it know that your time is near. Alonzo should have never been touched in the first place. Although I said it’s great news I wish this never happened to him or his family. Just hope those that did this will turn themselves in. They probably won’t, so let them live in fear of the FBI kicking in their doors. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.

The New York Times reported in 1993 that Mitchell, then medical examiner for Onondaga County, New York, “agreed to resign” after prosecutors concluded he had “overstepped his authority and mismanaged his office.”
prosecutors found that Dr. Mitchell routinely removed organs from corpses without the consent of the victims’ families and improperly stored skeletons and body parts in his office,” the New York Times report stated.

Unsolved Mysteries, Season 1 - I hope people speak up, his poor family has suffered enough.

I did some digging on the person who gave him a ride. there are several things that are left out of the Unsolved Mysteries episode. Apparently they checked Justin's cell records, he did call Adam, and he didnt leave alone. apparently another person who had been at Alonzo's house that afternoon was with him in the vehicle. They have 3 security footage cameras that place him at a gas station where he took out $200. He and anonymous friend (cant find source on name) went to a strip club and were eventually tossed out. So he did have someone with him to help him get his car out of the ditch. The real person I am curious about is Adam. Theres no interview information on him at all, and he didnt participate in the documentary. He is literally the last person who knew Alonzo to see him. So where is he at? I dont think the people on the show were involved. I think what people need to understand is even though you might know someone who is racist, Someone killing someone for being black is just not something that you would expect. I will say this story cut deep because I am from the south, and I think of all the spur of the moment parties Myself and friends who were black attended not knowing the person and didnt encounter this kind of stuff. EVER. So it is scary to imagine being young, innocent, and not thinking this was ever a possibility. I would personally carry the guilt with me forever. I wonder if he did hook up with the white girl, got caught and these trash racists did something. I have biracial sons and this hit home hard. I think its really sad and I wonder how small minded youd have to be to not feel guilty for keeping this a secret. Your literally in hickville, USA and theres a huge world out there where believe me, nobody knows who the hell they are nor do they care. This is what small town trash does and why they stick to their tiny town. At the end of the day they couldnt live in the REAL world with that name and it wouldnt mean shit. I hate people like that who piggy back off the idea that they have shitty family to protect them..It makes you want to see them survive without it and get a sense of what everyone feels that live there. At the end of the day, they cant be worth much if they dont strive to get out of that micro size town. I hope they find answers and that this person is put to justice. Id say 100,000 is life changing and could easily help them get away from the "scary" people involved. You have to be ignorant to the world around you if your scared of a judge in a population of less than 1100 people.

Which inbred spread the false rumors?

Anonymous said...

The inbreds smoked the FBI on this one. They had them chasing bs rumors that landed them out of state while the local inbreds did there thang. Unbelievable…

Any new information lately? I have not heard much about the case for a while? Last I heard is they were questioning a judge's son but not sure whatever came of that.

It seems very strange to me that Justin left Alonso at a party 45 minutes away when he was his ride. That’s not something you do when you go to a party with your friends, especially if it’s a 45 minute drive. If you give them a ride there you’re expected to give them a ride home. Justin knows something…

I believe they know the individuals possibly involved, and the method in which the murder was committed. The key is evidence, and witness statements. you really want to have a strong case if it is to be prosecuted. So everything will be very tight lipped till the are ready to move forward with an arrest. Believe me the walls are closing in on the suspects involved in Alonzo’s murder. Have to have enough evidence, information and other things to compel them to talk all these years later. Don’t want to show your cards to soon. Patience is key in a cold case like this. RIP ZO

Guaranteed some shit went down, spilled to the front, and poor Lo got dragged around and away and his friends couldn’t save him. Probably had their lives threatened if they squeal I reckon. That’s why their alibi is shit.

This explains the marks on Lo’s neck, they probably used a dog collar and rope or something and he ended up dead so they stashed him in the freezer at that creepy ass diner.

The rest with the cops and the town officials writing the narrative and covering tracks in a display of gross misconduct to fool the FBI… well, as they say in La Cygne, they look out for their own there.

Hello everyone. My name is Susan Gonzalez and I wrote the article above however, I am starting a podcast called Untold Cold Cases which can be found on Spotify, Apple, Google, Amazon, Audible, and Stitcher. My first episode is the murder of Sally Ann Hutton in Iola, Kansas. I will be covering more Untold Murder Cases and would like some ideas on murder cases anywhere in the country that have not received much or any attention. I would greatly appreciate any of your input and you can email me at untoldcoldcases@gmail.com

As a “God Fearing person” you’re suggesting that a psychic be consulted? Please make it make sense. There’s no need to consult demonic familiar spirits to get answers because they don’t have them. So many psychics have lied in the past when it comes to “helping” with cases there’s a documentary on this confirming this. Secondly Justin is very responsible regardless if he wasn’t the person who was directly responsible. Who brings their friend to a party and then leaves them ? Especially in a place they’ve never been to before. There was no Adam no one even confirmed to knowing this person. He had time to call apparently call Adam but not drive back and get his friend? And call back to see if he had been picked up. And really at a party with over 200 people he couldn’t ask one person for cigarettes. Please this is insulting to believe otherwise. RIP Alonzo, the Lord never sleeps and all that is hidden will be revealed. Your death will not be in vain whoever took your life will pay 100 times over in this life and the next

These 4 men were there that night. They did the unthinkable. I can't go into detail what they did but they murdered him and took his body to the family farm. We know who they are and the police need to find the Trophy Evidence that one of them is keeping since they murdered Alonzo.

4 guys 1 girl were there at the driveway that death upon Alonzo. They insulted him and bullied him back n forth and put a shock collar on him to torture him repeatidly. Then they took turns punching and throwing him around at their mercy. 2 brothers and 2 white trash hypocrites who's daddies are apart of the law and government there. You think this is some joke to do this to people you don't know white trash idiots. I guarantee you your going to go out of this life in a body bag after someone blows your head off your body when your back is turned. I promise you that. We all know who you are. You will pay for murdering Alonzo and you will stand before your maker to face your deaths in hell repeatidly.

The Boone Brothers are behind it. They don't want you to know that they used a Shock collar on Alonzo that night to kill him. It's sad that the police cannot even arrest these guys because all the evidence was safely kept from their finger prints or finding anything on them.

Prayers for your family. Praying for justice I was born in Topeka. I can't believe we still have so much hated in this world. I'm sorry but his (friends) shouldn't have left him... So sorry for our loss..

Anonymous said...

Or maybe you should be looking closer to home. I find it a little ironic that such good “friends” just left him, especially if they were feeling as tho something was about to go down. I moved to La Cygne in 2019 and Got to know the family y’all swear did it and they are beautiful people.

Anonymous said...

If trinkles were involved the case would have been solved years ago lmao

Anonymous said...

What is actual bs is that because La Cygne is a small town full of families that love the country life you automatically jump to it’s got to be racism because he was black. That’s the biggest crock of bs!

Anonymous said...

Period!

Anonymous said...

We all know someone that could have done something bad when they are younger can be the nicest person in the world many years later. Just because they are nice and beautiful people now definitely does not describe what they could have done in their past.

Anonymous said...

You may see La Cygne as a small town full of families that love country life is not what the town was like when this crime occurred. He was the only colored individual at the party and the only one that ended up dead. You may think that racism is gone now, but the small towns in the midwest have their secrets with racism. So you can parade around how it is BS now, but not then.

Anonymous said...

The only reason it’s been called a Racist hick town “ is because of y’all making it out like his murder was due to him being black. The town had a black kid that was a star football player that everyone loved, including by those you claim are racist and were involved. Y’all honestly have nothing to go on so you are making it out to be something it’s not. People making things up to create a story. Why don’t yall look at his so called friends that supposedly abandoned him.

Anonymous said...

That connect is actually a bunch of bs. Honestly if the cops are against anyone it’s women. Not men or black men. Linn County is a MENS county.

Anonymous said...

If this comment isn’t racist af, I don’t know what is lmao
